Reposted from @toastedbyeli feelings are meant to be felt, cherished, and valued, they are not meant to be held onto. when we hold onto our feelings, we keep ourselves in the pain of the past. letting go of our emotions, sensitivities and, trauma helps us move forward. it doesn’t make those things any less valid, it just stops them from hurting us.  if we want to move on, we must stop embracing the pain of the past, let those traumas go, and in doing so, let ourselves move forward. feel your feelings, and let them go when they no longer serve you.
